Helicopter Aerodynamics and Noise [Sponsor: MKE, KARI]

Aerodynamics and acoustic propagation in hover and forward flight state of helicopter are investigated. Currently a newly developed efficient numerical scheme (WEFV) is applied to hover state calculation to capture the tip vortex system more accurately. Also the tip shape modification study is on investigation for better aerodynamic and acoustic performance of KHP helicopter blade at the design stage.
